Prairie Pyre
Sublocation inside Felrodor
The air here has a permanent burning hint to it, despite the foliage being encouraged to grow due to unknown circumstances. The sun dries the land faster than whatever encourages its growth, to quench its eternal thirst. The almost petrified grass makes it so traversing these parts in silence is nearly impossible. Not only does the dry temperature work against you, but the crunch in each step hinders your ability to go unnoticed. This undoubtedly makes you a target, and a target is the last thing you want to be in these parts. Without the threat of others, you must also traverse safely through the thicket that threatens to become ablaze at the slightest of friction. There is a thick layer of smoke beneath your figure, never truly dissipating. Even if you did manage to cross successfully, you would leave a trail of ash for some time before shaking the remainder of the pyre off your toes. It is clear to the naked eye where the pyre last took hold of the tall grass, as ashes fall softly in its wake, the only thing left in the wake of the flames hunger. It's imperative to watch for the smoke to build- should you find yourself in the wrong place at the wrong time, the pyre is not forgiving. You too will fall victim to its blaze with little to no time to remove yourself. It's important to keep moving while traversing these parts. Time is of the essence here, adventurer.
